Updated 14 September 2026: BRFC Cup has moved from 20 September to Saturday, 31 October 2026.
Braven Rovers FC is organising BRFC Cup Sabah 2026 on Saturday, 31 October 2026, at Padang Ragbi A and B in Kota Kinabalu. Registration is open for up to 16 amateur teams, with RM5,500 in total cash prizes.
The 11-a-side tournament is scheduled from 8.00am to 6.00pm. Teams will be divided into four groups before the competition moves to the knockout rounds. Matches from the group stage through to the semi-finals will run for 15 minutes straight, with a 20-minute final.
Entering a team
Entry costs RM800 per team. A RM400 deposit confirms a slot, with the remaining RM400 payable by a revised deadline to be announced by the organiser. The previous September payment deadline no longer applies. Deposits are non-refundable if a team withdraws, fails to attend or cancels its participation.
Each team can register up to 18 players. Active state players are not allowed, and separate limits apply to former state players and passport holders. Team managers should read the full tournament rules before submitting their squads.
What teams are playing for
The champions will receive RM3,000, a trophy and medals. The runners-up will receive RM1,500 and medals, while the two joint third-place teams will each receive RM500 and medals.
SAFA issued a no-objection letter for the original 20 September date. BRFC has prepared a request for written confirmation of the revised date; that confirmation is pending. The letter requires compliance with FAM regulations, SAFA-licensed referees, security and medical coverage.
